Marvin Stewart Engleking

Marvin Stewart Engleking, 79, of Greenfield, passed away Monday, July 22, 2013, at Indiana University Hospital Saxony in Fishers. He was born June 4, 1934, in Morristown, to Raymond and Eliza (Everhart) Engleking.

He married Frances Jean Wall on March 28, 1954. Marvin graduated from Charlottesville High School in 1952. He was a member of the Charlottesville Friends Church and the Holstein Association. He was formerly a farmer in Hancock County, retiring in 2006. He loved playing and watching sports, especially when his grandchildren participated.

Surviving him are his wife; sons, Dan R. (Cathy) Engleking, Paul S. (Judy) Engleking, and Brian A. Engleking, all of Greenfield; daughters, Nancy A. (Jim) Mott of Angola and Lora J. (Neil) Jackson of Frankfort; brother, Ivan (Kathy) Engleking of Greenfield; grandchildren, Kyle Engleking, Adam Engleking, Mark Engleking, John Mott, Jason Mott, Jessica Straley, Alex Jackson, Rachel Jackson, Sabra Jackson and Hayley Jackson; two step-grandchildren, Brandon Wells and B.J. Briles; five great-grandchildren; and three great-stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Taylor Jackson; brothers, Roland Engleking and Neal Engleking; and sisters, Margaret Cole and Norma Matlock.

Visitation will be from 2 – 8 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2013, and 10 – 11 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013, at the Charlottesville Friends Church, Charlottesville. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013, at the church, with Pastor David Deem officiating. Interment will be in Asbury Cemetery.
