Phyllis Irene Wright
Phyllis Irene Wright, 90, of Greenfield, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2013, at Springhurst Health Campus. She was born January 19, 1923, in Greenfield as the daughter of Ray A. and Opal (Doughty) Wright.
She graduated from Mt. Comfort High School in 1941. Phyllis worked on the Board of Trade in Indianapolis, and for Hancock County Tractor in Greenfield. She was a member of Mohawk United Methodist Church, in Mohawk. She enjoyed needlepoint, pottery and volunteering at Hancock Memorial Hospital.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Opal Doughty Wright and Ray A. Wright.
Phyllis was a very special person and will be missed by her many cousins and friends.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2013, with the funeral service immediately following at 1 p.m. Reverend Woody Thompson will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mohawk United Methodist Church, 2045 W. 400 North, Greenfield, IN 46140.
