Douglas F. Rich, 78, Lapel, died Wednesday, July 17, 2013. He was born on Jan. 30, 1935, in Fishersburg, Ind., to Vane and Aileen (Miller) Rich. He served in the Army.
He is survived by his wife, of 47 years, Margaret (Sickels) Rich; a son, Kyle (Beth) Rich of Carmel; a grandson; and a sister, Shirley Foltz of Fishersburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2013, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 20, 2013, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
