Charles Steven “Steve” Lewis, 67, of Greenfield, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013 at IU Health-Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born Dec. 17, 1945, in Indianapolis, the son of the late Max and Guinevere (Collingwood) Lewis.

Steve graduated from Charlottesville High School in 1963, attended Purdue short course and worked at Delco Remy.  He was a lifelong farmer of Lewis Pork Farms and his favorite pastimes were fishing, watching Pacers, Colts, Purdue and NASCAR and attending school and sporting events of the grandchildren.  He was a member of the Army Reserves, Knightstown Commandry #9 , Knightstown Masonic Lodge  # 16, Blue lodge and served on many boards and committees including Pork producers, Federal Land Bank, Soil and Water, Extension office, Hancock Co. Ag. Association, Hancock Co. Fair President, Hancock Co. Swine Committee, Hancock Co. Swine Superintendent.

Survivors include his wife, of 47 years, Dianna (Jessup) Lewis,  three sons, Mike(Michelle) , Tim (Julie) , and Chris (Tracy ) Lewis; ten grandchildren, Lindsey, Kaitlin, Emma, Madison, Jarett, Annmarie, Grace, Isaac, Lily and Luke; sister, Marcia (Warren) Cole; cousins, Janet (Walt) Waitt, Carol (Larry) Sullivan, Barbara (Steve) Smith, Jeff (Natasha)Pope, Gary (Debbie) Pope, Joe Collingwood, Norman Collingwood, Nancy Collingwood; many nieces; nephews; great-nieces; and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister; Connie Lewis.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2013, at Condo and Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Pastor David Woods officiating.  Burial will follow at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 3-8 p.m. Thursday, July 11, 2013. A Masonic service will take place at 7:30 conducted by the Knightstown Masonic Lodge #16.
