Phyllis A. Pond 81, of Rushville, died on June 26, 2013. She was born March 13, 1932, in Indianapolis, the daughter of the late John O. & Thelma E. (Pfeffer) Burge. Phyllis and Charles A. Pond were married at the Raleigh Christian Church June 3, 1951. He preceded her in death Aug. 18, 2005.
Surviving Phyllis are her two daughters, Katherine Lingle of New Castle, Beverly Pond of Rushville; a son, Mike (Lucinda) Pond of Indianapolis; two brothers, Richard (Connie) Burge of Rushville and John C. (Coralyn) Burge of Lewisville; five grandchildren; one great -grandchild.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one great- grandchild.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday June 29, 2013, at the Raleigh Christian Church with Rev.Tony Augsburger officiating where friends may call one hour prior.
