Phyllis A. Pond 81, of Rushville, died Wednesday, June 26, 2013. She was born March 13, 1932, in Indianapolis, the daughter of the late John O. and Thelma E. (Pfeffer) Burge.
Phyllis married Charles A. Pond on June 3, 1951. He preceded her in death Aug. 18, 2005.
She is survied by two daughters, Katherine Lingle of New Castle, Beverly Pond of Rushville; a son, Mike (Lucinda) Pond of Indianapolis; two brothers, Richard (Connie) Burge of Rushville and John C. (Coralyn) Burge of Lewisville; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one great-grandchild.
A Celebration of Life will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013 at the Raleigh Christian Church with the Rev. Tony Augsburger officiating; friends may call one hour prior at the church.
