Andrew J. Christie, 85, a longtime Arlington resident, died Monday evening, June 24, 2013, in Greenfield. He was born Nov. 1, 1926, in Parke County, Ind., to George Andrew & Alma Mae (Walton) Christie.
He married Mildred I. (Breece) on June 21, 1952, and she preceded him in death on Oct. 27, 2008.
Survivors include his son, Clarence "Mike" Breece of Arlington; son-in-law, Dean Miller of Rush County; 8 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Andrew was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara J. Miller (2006), a brother, Clinton Christie and sisters, Ethel McMillen, Mary Christie, Everal Barr and Myrtle Riegel.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 28, at Moster Mortuary, Rushville, with Chaplain Russ Jarvis presiding. Friends are welcome to visit at the mortuary Friday morning from 9 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in the Arlington East Hill Cemetery.
