Paul Hollin

Paul Hollin, 71, of Greenfield, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at IU Health Methodist Hospital. He was born on June 7, 1943, in Manchester, Ky., as the son of Edward and Mary (Brewer) Hollin. He graduated from Greensburg High School. He married Linda Tarplee on June 1, 1996, in Cumberland Gap, Tenn.

Paul worked as a manager at Cummins Engine in Columbus, Ind., for many years and most recently as a machinist at Olin Brass Company in Indianapolis before retiring. He was a member of the United Steelworkers of America. He enjoyed horse racing and had owned several horses earlier in his life. He loved his children and animals.

Surviving Paul are his wife, Linda Hollin of Greenfield; children, Theresa (Don) Stilger of Corydon, Paula (Brent) Mathews of Lizton, Dawn (Marty) Brinson of Versailles; stepchildren, Kenneth (Tammy) Wheeler of Greenfield, Lisa Hischemiller of Beech Grove; sister, Sandra (Charles) Foster of Greensburg; brothers, James Hollin of Paint Lick, Ky., Cosby (Carol) Hollin of Petersville, Nathaniel (Lois) Hollin of North Vernon; and 12 grandchildren, Bradley, Kayla, Anthony, Jeremy, Jenny, Nicole, Cory, Natalie, Amanda, Jacob, Callie, and Brock.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Edward and Mary Hollin; sister, Terri Deem; and brother, Marion Hollin.

Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m., on Thursday, June 13, 2013, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., on Friday, June 14, 2013, also at the mortuary. Pastor David Woods will be officiating.  Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
