Lee Ann (Korfhage) Knight, 71, of Greenfield, passed peacefully into Jesus’ loving arms on Thursday, June 5, 2013, after a long battle with cancer. Born on March 15, 1942, in Louisville, Ky., she was the daughter of LeRoy and Rachel (Maguire) Korfhage.

She was a resident of Hancock County for 41 years. She married Edward on April 2, 1959. They were happily married for 54 years.

She was a woman of great faith, her courage and love for Jesus Christ was an inspiration to many. Most of all, she was a blessing to her family. She worked as a homemaker for many years.

Surviving her are her husband, Edward; daughters, Lee Ellen Knight (Kevin Minnick), Janice (Greg) Palatinus; sons, John (Kim), Eric (Michelle); grand-daughters, Brittany (Ryan) Keck, Annah Palatinus and Diana Knight; great -grandson, Reed Keck; sister, Jane Korfhage; sister-in-law, Donna Bivens; beloved cousin, Alice Rae, whom she considered a sister and her husband, Carl Allen; as well as cousin, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, June 10, 2013, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory in Greenfield. Funeral services will immediately follow at noon, also at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory in Greenfield. The Rev. Jim Dunn will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Thomas Whittaker and staff of Oncology and the Hospice nurses at Hancock Regional Hospital for their kindness and expert care.
