Vola B. Doty, 89, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at Community Hospital North, Indianapolis. She was born May 5, 1924, in Science Hill, Ky., to the late Silas and Gracie (Warren) Dick.
Vola was a member of Abundant Life Church where she was a Sunday School teacher and greeter.
Vola is survived by her husband, of 59 years, Wayne Doty; sons, Charles Hoseclaw of Fortville, Bob (Linda) Hoseclaw of Franklin; daughters, Laraine Thompson of McCordsville, Janice (Robin) Franklin of Westfield; sister, Ola Doty of Bargersville; 13 grandchildren; 23 great -grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Delmer Hoseclaw; and brothers, Sherm Dick, Earl Dick, Herb Dick and Virt Phelps.
Friends may call from 4 – 8 p.m., Friday, May 31, 2013, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel. Services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 1, 2013, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Park Cemetery.
