Georgia Anne (Gunn) Hancock, 69, of Greenfield, died Sunday, May 26, 2013, at St. Vincent Heart Center of Indiana. Born on July 5, 1943, in Davenport, Iowa, she was the daughter of George William and Mary Lou (Coyle) Gunn.

She graduated from New Palestine High School in 1961. She married her high school sweetheart Stanley Hancock on Nov. 18, 1961. They were happily married for 51 years.

She worked hard as a homemaker for years and was the world’s best wife, mom, and grandma. She enjoyed reading, sewing and cooking for her family, and was a member of a ladies card club group. Her very favorite pastime was attending her grandkids’ activities.

Surviving her are her beloved husband, Stanley; children, Kelly (DeWayne) Paugh of Pendleton, Heidi (Steven) Strunk of Fishers, Molly Anne (Gary) Elsbury of Greenfield, and Joshua (Mandy) Hancock of Greenfield; ten grandchildren, Caylan (Craig) Martin, Caleb Paugh, Allison Strunk, Brandon Crouse, Ben Strunk, Sam Strunk, Ethan Elsbury, Caden Hancock, Abigail Anne Elsbury and Olivia Hancock; one great-grandchild, Ainsley Martin; two sisters and three brothers.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory in Greenfield. Funeral services will be on Thursday, May 30, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery in Philadelphia, Ind. Pastor Mark Suter will be officiating.
