Kathy Lynn Whitaker, 60, suddenly passed away and entered into eternal peace on Wednesday, May 1, 2013. Kathy was born on Oct. 16, 1952. She was the daughter of the late Bill Irick and Mildred Settles Irick McGee.
She attended New Palestine High School and worked at Sugar Creek Nursing home for many years as a Nursing Assistant. She married R.D. Whitaker in July 1984. Kathy was a very kind and gentle soul. She had a loving and generous heart, and was always giving to others. She was a loving mother to 4 children and a devoted grandmother to her grandchildren.
She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her faithful husband, of 29 years, R.D. Whitaker, of Hazard Ky.; her loving children, Mike Kendall of Greenfield, April Wright of Greenfield, Rick Anderson of Greenfield, and Amy Anderson Virginia; sister, Sandra McGee Moffett of Indianapolis; stepchildren; and adorning grandchildren .
A celebration of life will be held from 3-7 p.m., Sunday, June 2, 2013, at Brandywine Community Church in Greenfield Ind. Friends and relatives are invited.
