Juanita S. (Striebeck) Barnhart, 82, of Greenfield, passed away May 1, 2013, at Hancock Regional Hospital. Born on Oct. 13, 1930, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Elmer and Dorothy (Renihan) Striebeck.

She graduated from Mt. Comfort High School in 1948 and married Richard Barnhart on Nov. 28, 1948 in Greenfield.

Juanita worked as the supervisor of the budget section of the welfare department for the state of Indiana for 32 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Surviving her are her husband, Richard Barnhart of Greenfield; children, Maria (Dick) Fair and Mike (Debbi) Barnhart, both of Greenfield; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Elmer (Nancy) Striebeck, Jr. of Greenfield, and Robert (Pat) Striebeck of Bloomington.

Preceding her in death were her parents and two sisters, Joan Turner and Jacqueline Phares.

Visitation will be from 4- 8 p.m., on Friday, May 3, 2013, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., on Saturday, May 4, 2013, also at the mortuary. Pastor David Woods will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
