Gloretta V. Magee, 75, of Greenfield, passed away on March 18, 2013, at Hancock Regional Hospital. Born on Aug. 25, 1937, in Powe, Mo., she was the daughter of George W. and Erma (Woods) Davis.

Gloretta married Alford L. Magee on May 20, 1954. She worked for Western Electric in Indianapolis and was a member of the Western Electric Pioneers. She was also a member of the Greenfield Lions Club, the Red Hat Ladies, and was co-founder and a member of Reach Out to the Handicapped. Gloretta was also involved in the special Olympics and Shares, Inc. Additionally, she served on the Board of Directors for Hospice in 1998.

Surviving her are her son, Larry Magee of Greenfield; daughters, Gloria Griffith and Louise Hatfield, both of Greenfield; sister, Irene (Dale) Wilson of Greenfield; brothers, Donald (Marie) Davis of Puxico, Mo., Jeff (Bobbi) Davis of Desoto, Mo., Luther Davis of Bellview, Mo., Charles (Joyce) Davis of Clarksville, Ark., Estel (Dora) Davis of Greenfield; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her husband; brothers, Marion Davis, Walter Davis, Eugene Davis, and Joe Davis; sisters, Wanda Brunner and Christine Davis; and parents, George and Erma Davis.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m., on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Additional visitation will take place from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Friday, March 22, 2013, at Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, Mo. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. Services will be officiated by Reverend Cart Wilson. Burial will follow at Dogwood Cemetery in East Prairie, Missouri.
