Martha “Kay” Bednarski, 66, of Morristown, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Major Hospital in Shelbyville. Born on Sept. 29, 1946, in Terre Haute, she was the daughter of James Harding and Berniece Faye (Estelle) Trent.
Kay married Raymond F. Bednarski on Nov. 13, 1977, in Indianapolis. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Greenfield for 31 years. She loved to play bingo and enjoyed knitting.
Survivors include her son, Michael Bronnenberg of Indianapolis; stepson, William Bednarski of Greenfield; brother, Donald (Ellen) Trent of Wells, Maine; sister, Doris Marcum of Shelbyville; numerous nieces and nephews; and several grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond Bednarski; son, Benjamin Bednarski; daughter, Valerie Bednarski-Bailey; and siblings, James Trent and Janet Taylor.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., on Sunday, March 17, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Burial will be at a later date at Asbury Cemetery in Morristown.
