John P. Pool
John P. Pool, age 78, of Wilkinson, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at his home. Born May 21, 1934, in Indianapolis, he was the son of John Paul and Thelma B. (Trees) Pool. He married Charlene (Cave) Pool on October 25, 1952, in Indianapolis.
John worked as a courier for Community Hospitals for many years. He loved working crossword puzzles and hunting and fishing.
Surviving him are his wife, Charlene Pool of Wilkinson; children, Julie (Terry) Schuck of Wilkinson, Janet Mednick of Longwood, Fla., Cathy Pool of Orlando, Fla., Karen (Scott) Brooks of Tampa, Fla., Steve (Carol) Pool of Greenfield, James Pool of Indianapolis, and Laura (Rex) Minchin of Wilkinson; sister, Phyllis June of Indianapolis; 6 grandchildren, Brandi (Jeff) Craig of Indianapolis, Jared Mednick of Orlando, Fla., Mitch Pool of Greenfield, Hunter Pool of Wanamaker, Savannah Minchin of Wilkinson, and Colin Pool of Greenfield; and 2 great-grandchildren, Miranda Mednick and Jared Mednick, Jr., both of Orlando, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, William White.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, March 16, from 2 – 4 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield.
