Leslie Floyd Hedman, 65, of Shelbyville, died Feb. 28, 2013, at Hancock Regional Hospital. He was born March 1, 1947, to Wayne B. and Zelia Lucille (Clarke) Hedman in Shelbyville.

Leslie was a Vietnam Veteran in the Air Force.

Survivors include wife, Margaret Katherine (Lawson) whom he married Jan. 11, 1969; daughter, Sarah (Ralph) Stevens of Shelbyville; sisters-in-law, Joyce Everhart of Shelbyville, Patricia (Louie) Dunfee of Ohio, and Voila Lawson of Iowa; brother-in-law, Richard (Becky) Lawson of New Mexico; 3 grandchildren; 9 nephews; and 4 nieces; several great-nephews and great-nieces; and mother, Zelia Lucille (Clarke) Hedman of Waldron.

Preceded in death were father, Wayne Hedman; brother, Wayne Hedman; and sister, Lorinda Montgomery.

Visitation took place from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Crematory. The funeral was held at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 4, 2013, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Stephens officiating. Burial took place immediately following the service at the Lewis Creek Baptist Cemetery located in Shelbyville. Graveside military rites were conducted by the local veterans organization.
