David W. Porter
David W. Porter, 82, McCordsville, died Sunday, March 3, 2013 at his home. He was born March 17, 1930, in Muncie to the late Charles F. and Nellie Porter.
He is survived by his wife Roberta J. Porter, whom he married on December 19, 1981, in Indianapolis; sons Steven Porter and David Charles Porter; stepdaughters Cynthia Pelt and Barbara Dishman; stepsons Dallas Dishman and Robert Grubbs; 1 granddaughter; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Sue Marcum; brothers John, Allan, and George; and sister Cecile.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. Additional calling will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2013 from 1 – 2 p.m. at Abundant Life Christian Church, Muncie. A Celebration of David’s Life will begin on Thursday at 2 p.m. at the church. Burial, including graveside military rites, will follow at Tomlinson Cemetery, Muncie.
