Charles R. "Dick" Stanley

Charles R. “Dick” Stanley, 77, passed away on Feb. 27, 2013. Born on May 2, 1935, in Connersville, he was the son of Harriett (Lafuse) and Lewis Stanley.

Dick married Bonnie L. Kucera on Nov. 11, 1961, in Oak Park, Ill. Dick graduated from Richmond High School in 1953 and earned a degree in Pharmacy in 1959, from Purdue School of Pharmacy. He also attended Earlham College. Dick worked as a pharmacist at Hook’s Drugstore and at Meijer. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Greenfield where he was past president of the church council. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge #196 in Richmond, the Greenfield Sertoma Club, and the Greenfield Lion’s Club. Additionally, Dick volunteered at Edelweiss Therapeutic Riding Center in Greenfield.

Surviving him are his wife, Bonnie L. Stanley of Greenfield; children, Scott (Brenda) Stanley and Alison (Geoff) LaFlower, both of Greenfield; and grandchildren, Brittany LaFlower and Scott R. Stanley.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Robert Lewis Stanley; and sister-in-law, Marilyn Stanley.

Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m., on Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. A Masonic Service will take place at 7 p.m. Funeral services will take place at Noon, on Monday, March 4, 2013, at St. James Lutheran Church in Greenfield with calling taking place for one hour prior to the service. Pastor Larry Gember will be officiating and burial will take place at Park Cemetery in Greenfield, with full military rites.
