Robert F. ” The Candyman” Fouts

Robert F. “The Candyman” Fouts, 66, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at Golden Living Center in Greenfield. Born on March 13, 1946, in Akron, Ohio, he was the son of Charles and Clarice (Hutchins) Fouts.

He graduated from Morristown High School in 1966, and served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He married Fran Garver on Feb. 28, 1976, in Fountaintown.

Robert worked for Eli Lilly Company in Greenfield as security and maintenance for over 25 years. He was a member of the Greenfield VFW and American Legion, and received a clock from Eli Lilly for 25 years of service.

Surviving him are his wife, Fran (Garver) Fouts of Greenfield; stepson, Ron Wainscott of Greenfield; siblings, Ruth (Gordon) Stine of Fountaintown, Mary (Ron) Collins of Greenfield, Fred (Sandy) Fouts of Doylestown, Ohio, Roger (Mary) Fouts of Orrville, Ohio; many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; sister, Marlene Whittington; and brothers Chuck and Gene Fouts.

Visitation will be  from 10 until 11 a.m., on Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, beginning at 11 a.m. Reverend David Deem will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
