Janet S. (Trent) Taylor, 72, of Willow Branch, passed away Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at I.U. Medical Center. Born on April 11, 1940, in New Castle, she was the daughter of James and Bernice (Estelle) Trent.
She attended Greenfield High School. She married Richard M. Taylor on March 27, 1976, in Eden, Ind.
Janet spent 20 years working for Western Electric and was also a homemaker. She was a former member of the Eastern Star and had attended Brown’s Chapel Wesleyan Church. She enjoyed spending time painting, traveling and enjoyed flowers and nature.
Surviving Janet are her husband, Richard M. Taylor of Willow Branch; son, Richard J. (Cheryl) Taylor of Carthage; brother, Donald Trent of Wells, Maine; sister, Martha Kay Bednarski of Morristown; and 3 grandchildren, Steven C. Woods, Mickenzi R. Taylor, and Mahaley L. Taylor.
Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, James L. Trent; and son, David A. Woods Jr.
Visitation will be from 1:30 until 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. The funeral service will also be on Saturday, beginning at 3 p.m. Pastor Lloyd VanMeter will be officiating.
