Carol Edwards, 68, of Greenfield, passed away Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at Hancock Regional Hospice. She was born Dec. 18, 1944, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, to the late Muriel Recollett.
Carol was a graduate of Sault Saint Marie High School and married John A. Edwards on Dec. 21, 1963, in Sault Saint Marie, Ontario, Canada. Carol was retired and previously worked as a dental assistant in Canada and Greenfield, the Greenfield Reporter, Shelby Oil Company and was the former Executive Director of ARC-Hancock County. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and attended Mother of God Catholic Church in Goulais River, Ontario, Canada.
Carol is survived by her husband, John A. Edwards of Greenfield; son, John Andrew Edwards of Greenfield; daughter, Michelle (Tom) Wagner of Indianapolis; granddaughter, Jeana Wagner; and stepfather, Norman Recollett of Wahnapitae, Ontario, Canada.
She is preceded in death by her mother; brother, Eddy Joseph; and granddaughter Stephanie Wagner.
Friends may call 5 until 8 p.m., on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield. A funeral mass will be held 11 a.m., on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, Saint Michael Catholic Church, 519 Jefferson Blvd., Greenfield, IN. 46140. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Greenfield.
