Stephen E. Gearhart, 66, of Murfeesboro, Tenn., and husband of the late Dorothy Marie Gearheart, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at his residence. Mr. Gearhart was born in Columbus, Ind., a son of Phyllis H. Searls and the late William Earl Gearhart.
He was a member of Tilly Swamp Baptist Church, Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War and was retired from General Motors of Anderson.
Surviving in addition to his mother, of Fortville; are brothers, Gary (Bonnie) Gearhart of Greenfield; and Randall L. (Janette) Mitchell of Fortville.
Mr. Gearhart was laid to rest on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at Tilly Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery.
