Everett H. Kyser, Jr., 76, of Greenfield, passed away Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at his residence. He was born Feb. 10, 1936, in Hancock County, Ind., to the late Everett & Mary Vivian (Bash) Kyser Sr.

He graduated from Charlottesville High School in 1954, served in the Marine Corps., and retired from Delco Remy of Anderson after 31 years. He was a member of the Charlottesville Friends Church, lifetime member of the National Rifle Association, lifetime member of the Ohio Gun Club Association, member of the Wortman-Lowe Enduring Freedom Marine Corps. Detachment #1263, member of the Hancock County Sheriff’s Auxiliary, 1977-1988, Auxiliary Officer of the Year, 1978-1979 and was Captain of the Sheriff’s Auxiliary from 1980 until 1982.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Sims) Kyser of Greenfield, whom he married on Jan. 12, 1968; daughters, Kim (Will) Anderson, Kelly (Mike) Merlau , Cathy (Tom) Harris all of Greenfield; son, Mike (Theresa) Wilson of Mooresville, Ind.; sister, Mary Carolyn Galliher of Anderson; nine grandchildren, Leah (Scott) Dillard, Megan (Kevin) Harris, Brad Reasner, Curtis (Julie) Merlau, Chris Harris, Kyle  Reasner, Lauren (Kyle) Anderson, Meredith Harris, Mary Merlau; a great-granddaughter, Meadow Duncan; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Leah Wicker and Vera Glisson.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m., on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield. Funeral service will be 10 a.m., on Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at the funeral home with Pastors David Deem and Cathy Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Asbury Cemetery, Morristown.
