Delores “Dee” Pearl (Harris) Cook, 72, died on at her home after a courageous battle with breast cancer on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013. Born on Nov. 9, 1940, in Cincinnati, and she was the daughter of Fred and Dorothy (Wilhelm) Harris.

She is survived by her cherished husband, John Cook of Fortville; her children, Larry (Shelly) Peddicord of Noblesville, Alice Maklem of Cincinnati, Brian (Leslie) Douglas of Greenfield; stepchildren, Melinda Garner of Greenfield, Melanie (Kenny) Morgan of Sommerset, Ky, Melissa (Wayne) Carmany of Pendleton; 19 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Alice Harris and Janet Keith, both of Cincinnati.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Dorothy Harris; grandson, Jonathon Garner; and maternal grandparents, Fred and Pearl Wilhelm.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at Erlewein Mortuary in Fortville. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, also at the mortuary. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville.
