David E. Miller, 66, of French Lick, Ind., formerly of Greenfield, passed away on Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at the Springhurst Health Campus in Greenfield. He was born on Nov. 20, 1946, in Indianapolis, the son of the late Carl and Mildred (Keelen ) Miller.
David was a 1965 graduate of Cathedral High School, Indianapolis. He married Helen (Bigham) Miller on May 13, 1966. He served in the Army in Vietnam and retired from Rolls Royce in 2006. David attended Our Lady of the Springs Catholic Church in French Lick, he was a member of the American Legion Post #119, Greenfield and a member of the UAW Local #933. David was an avid Colts fan, loved boating, Notre Dame football and Nascar.
David is survived by his wife of 46 years, Helen Miller of French Lick; sons, Kevin (Kyle) Miller of New Palestine; and Anthony (Birgitte) Miller of Seattle, Wash.; sisters, Barbara Becker and JoAnn (Ron) Donaldson of Granite City, Ill.; and grandchildren, Kenna and Katie Miller of New Palestine and Nevada and Emerson Miller of Seattle, Wash.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at the Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 W. Main St. Greenfield, IN 46140. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at the funeral home.
