Jerry L. Collins, 59 of Fountaintown, passed away Thursday , Jan. 17, 2013. Jerry was born on July 28, 1953, in Shelbyville, to the late Paul and Frances (Dawson) Collins.
Jerry retired from Yellow Freight.
He is survived his loving wife, Saundra B. (Huffman) Collins of Fountaintown; son, Ryan W. Collins of New Palestine; stepsons, Thomas (Gemma) Meeks of Australia, Ronald (Raynette) Meeks and James (Stacey) Meeks of Indianapolis; daughters, Angela L. Armstrong of New Palestine, Pamela (Bill) Seegers of Nashville, Ind.; stepdaughter, Tina Ratcliff of Plainfield; sisters, Pat (Gaey) Bowby of Greensburg and Angie (Jack) Swim of Luchenbach, Texas; brothers, Tony (Jo) Collins of Burlington, Ind., and Tom (Kathy) Collins of Mooresville; 19 grandchildren and nine great -grandchildren.
Jerry is proceeded in death by his parents; stepfather, Gordon Myers; brother, Paul Collins Jr.; and grandson, James Meek.
Services will be at 4 p.m., with visitation from 2 – 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at Bell Mortuary & Crematory, Shangrila Chapel with Pastor Jeannie Burge officiating.
