Charles Henry Eberhardt, 69, of Smiths, Ala., died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at Vista Care at Franciscan Woods, Columbus,Ga. Mr. Eberhardt was born May 24, 1943, in Lafayette, Ind., and was the son of Henry and Eva Eberhardt. Mr. Eberhardt was an Army Veteran of the serving during Vietnam War.
Mr. Eberhardt is survived by his daughter, Connie Lynn Durham of Yorktown, Ind.; sons, Charles Kevin Eberhardt of Niceville, Fla. and Christopher Allen Eberhardt of Greenfield; an adopted son, Ernest (Kim) Gilley of Salem, Ala.; and special friend, Gayle Obojtek of Columbus, Ga.
Graveside services for Mr. Eberhardt will be 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, Ala., with military honors.
