Theron Griffith, Jr., 67, of New Palestine, passed away Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013. Theron was born on Nov. 29, 1945, to the late Theron Griffith Sr. and Dorthy Griffith in Greenfield.
Theron was employed at Strubbe Gravel. He enjoyed fishing, computer games, western movies and reading books.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce (Perry) Griffith of New Palestine; stepsons, Mike Pegan of Clermont and DeWayne Pegan of Greenfield; daughters, Kris Mattingly of New Palestine, Kelly Whitaker of Cumberland, Erin Griffith of Greenfield, Amy Barnes of Charlottsville, Christane Poe of Indianapolis and Donna Haste of New Palestine; brothers, Ray, David, Robert, Steve, Tim and Dennis Griffith; 19 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and his dog Toby.
He is proceeded in death by his parents; son, Thomas E. Griffith; sisters, Susie Gibson, Anita Kae Copeland; and brother, John Griffith.
Visitation will be from 3 – 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at Bell Mortuary & Crematory, Shangrila Chapel with Service at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
