Betty Irene (Martin) Willits, 86, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at her home. Born on Nov. 23, 1926, in Greenfield, she was the daughter of Arthur E. Martin and Norma L. (Busken) Martin. Betty married Jonathan E. Willits on Aug. 7, 1954.
Betty was a farmer and a member of Eden United Methodist Women and Rural Youth.
Surviving her are her children, Raymond Dale (Jill) Willits of Corydon and Loretta (Bobby) Reed of Pendleton; grandchildren, Sara Zehnder, Cory Lopez, Jerimiah Willits, Nicole Meade, Jamie Meade, Malissa Meade, and Zacary Garland; great-grandchildren, Layla Zehnder, Athan Zehnder, Brianna Willits, Isaiah Garland, and Lucas Garland.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Jonathan Willits; 4 siblings, Joseph Martin, Harold Martin, Virginia Willis and Martha Mae Martin.
Graveside service will take place at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at Gravel Lawn Cemetery Chapel in Fortville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Eden United Methodist Church, 2122 E. Eden Rd, Greenfield, IN 46140.
