Luther “Sonny” Clinton Couch

Luther “Sonny” Clinton Couch, 71, of Fishers, passed away on Dec. 26, 2012. Born on May 22, 1941, in Owensville, Ky., he was the son of Luther Valva and Mona (Haney) Couch.

Luther graduated from Knightstown High School in 1959, and married Myla Wallace on May 27, 1961, in Spiceland. He worked for Chrysler as a set-up man for 35 years before retiring in 2001. Sonny attended Park Chapel Christian Church and was a member of UAW Local #371. He was a skilled carpenter and Indianapolis Colts fan. His family was his life.

Surviving him are his wife, Myla Couch of Fishers; sons, Bryan (Deedee) Couch of Greenfield, Darrin (Paula) Couch of Wilkinson, and Bradley Couch of Greenfield; daughter-in-law, Theresa Couch of Greenfield; grandchildren, Kyle, Madison, Kaitlyn, Taylor, and Morgann; sisters, Freda Beatty of Knightstown and Irene (Clifford) Smith of New Castle; sister-in-law, Sharon (Charlie) Brown of Spiceland; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; son, Kevin Couch; and infant brother, Lester Eugene Couch.

Visitation was from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec.  2012, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at the mortuary. Burial will take place at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
