Christine Furticella, 82, of Wabasha, Minn., passed away on Dec. 20, 2012. Born on June 21, 1930, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Paul A. Jones and Polly (Cross) Pleak.

Christine graduated from Arsenal Tech High School and earned an Associate’s degree from the University of Indianapolis.  She worked at Eli Lilly & Company as a legal secretary for many years before retiring. She was a member of the Lilly choir, drama, and camping clubs, and enjoyed traveling with friends and family. She was also a former member of the Greenfield Community choir and volunteered at the Hancock County Food Pantry.

Surviving her are her children, Lorie (Gary) Coan of Greenfield, Gregory (Betsy) Lipps of Greenfield, David Lipps of Stewart, Fla., Christopher (Vicki) Lipps of Phoenix, Ariz., and Cindy (Norm) Houseman of Lafayette; grandchildren, Shannon Lipps, Alex Lipps, Sarah Ropte, Allison Stieneker, Ben Lipps, Kelly Lipps, Adam Lipps, Julia Lipps, Lee Jackson, and Trina Gaskin; eleven great-grandchildren; sister, Ann Wickham of Indianapolis; and companion, Art Boyum.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Anthony Furticella; former husband, Roy Pratt; former husband, Stephen Lipps; son, Stephen Lipps, Jr.; grandson, Scott Lipps; daughter-in-law, Sandi Lipps; and brother, Paul Jones, Jr.

Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Visitation will take place from noon until the time of the service. Burial will take place at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
