George D Means Jr. 82, a life time resident of New Palestine, passed away Dec. 16,2012. George was born July 25, 1930, to George Sr. and Matilda ( Burkhart) Means in New Palestine.
He was a 1948 graduate of New Palestine High School. George served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict and worked as a Pressman at the Indianapolis Newspaper Inc. George was also involved in the St Johns U.C.C. Church.
He is survived by his wife, Rosie Marie (Lichtenberg); son, Mark A. Means; daughter, Sue Ann (David) Hulse.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Thomas, Charles and Raymond Means; sisters, Virginia Mills and Lucile Tyler.
Service to held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at St John's UCC, with visitation from Noon until time of service.
Memorials to the Hospice Center of Hancock Regional Hospital.
