Jean L. York, 97, of Fishers, formerly of Wilkinson, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at Pleasant View Lodge Nursing Facility. Born May 12, 1915 in Noblesville, and was the daughter of the late Orval & Lora (Pryor) Mann.
She was a homemaker, loved to crochet and work cross word puzzles. She was baptized in 2007, and loved spending time with her children & grandchildren.
Surviving include two daughters, Shirley J. Evans of Fishers, Sharon L. (Robert) Howe of Indianapolis; a son, Dennis (Jennette) York of Greenfield; eight grandchildren; 15 great – grandchildren; 15 great- great- grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband, John R. York in 2000; three sisters, Ruth Weckerly, Dorthea Ellis, Corinne Smith and a brother, Frank Mann.
Funeral services will be held at 1p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, in the Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Kurt Solomon officiating. Friends will be received Saturday from 10:00 until time of service. Burial will follow at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson.
