Denny Shore, age 96, Indianapolis, formerly of Greenfield, passed away on Nov. 30, 2012.  Born on June 25, 1916, in Mohawk, he was the son of Lee Elmer and Mollie Ethel (Denney) Shore.

Denny graduated from Greenfield High School in 1934 and married Elizabeth Kimmick.  He worked as a corrugator operator for Container Corp. of America for 44 years before retiring in 1981.  He loved woodworking.

Surviving him are his son, Richard “Dick” (Sharon) Shore of Greenfield; daughters, Vickie (Conley) Crawford of Indianapolis, Penny A. (Stephen) Smith of Greenfield, and Pam D. (Raymond) Kerkhof of Greenfield; sister-in-law, Alberta Kelly of Jonesboro, Ark.; grandchildren, Connie and Todd Jackson, Sherrie Bixler, Carrie Addison, Mike Shore, Dawn Smith, Kelly Hart, Tyler Crawford, Lori Phenis, Adam Smith, Chad Kerkhof, Brandi Albea, and Nick Kerkhof; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Elizabeth Kimmick Shore; daughter, Judith K. Jackson; brother, Hase Shore; and grandson, David Denny Jackson.

Visitation will be from 11 to 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield.  Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m.  Reverend Mike Manning will be officiating and burial will take place at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
