Jim R. Roome, 78, of New Palestine, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at Hancock Regional Hospital Hospice. He was born March 21, 1934, in Indianapolis, to the late Wilbur Roome & Mary (Dokes) Greenwood.
He is survived by his wife, Lois (Hammond) Roome of New Palestine, sons, Jim of Corona, Calif., Rick of Greenfield, Tim of Indianapolis, Ron of LaMirada, Calif., Dan of Greenwood; brother, Warren of Indianapolis; sister, Betty Trulock of Indianapolis; 19 grandchildren; and 12 great – grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Ralph.
Funeral service will be 1p.m. on Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield. Visitation will also be Monday from 11 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Union Chapel Cemetery, Indianapolis.
