Sara B. Brooks, 81, of Greenfield, passed away on Wednesday Nov. 14, 2012, at Sugar Creek Nursing and Rehab in Greenfield. She was born on April 26, 1931, in Calhoun, Ga., and is the daughter to the late John and Lillie (Eads) Stewart.

Sara was a School Bus Driver for 28 years, driving for St. Michaels Catholic School 12 years, Greenfield Central Schools 15 years and Mt. Vernon Schools 1 year. She was very skilled at furniture upholstering, an active member of the Shadeland Baptist Church where she loved to sing for the Lord in groups, solo and choir.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Maurice A.  Brooks of Greenfield; sons, Michael J. (Trudy) Abrams of Carrollton, Ky,. David W. Grooms of Pendleton, Rick H. Harrison of Greenfield; daughters, Prenciss Diann Grooms of Darlington, Ind., Peggy S. Findlay (Tom White) of Anderson, Cynthia M. (Pat) Smith of North Vernon, Coral L. (Don) Moir of Tellico Plains, Tenn.; brother, Junior Stewart; sister, Imogene Hamilton; 20 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11a.m. Saturday Nov. 17, 2012, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery, Philadelphia, Ind. Officiating grandson, Ralph Joseph Means. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday Nov. 16, 2012, at the funeral home and one hour prior to service.
