Carol L. DeaKyne, 77, of Greenfield, formerly of Fortville, died on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born Oct. 23,1935, in New Philadelphia, Ohio, to the late Carl and Janice (McCoy) Meiser.
She is survived by children, Kevin (Shelbia) DeaKyne of Markle,Ind., Shelly (Keith) Given of Carmel and Jon (Lisa) DeaKyne of Noblesville; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sister, Suzy Carnelli of Punta Gorda, Fla.
Carol was preceded in death by husband, James DeaKyne in 1983.
A celebration of Carol’s life will be held at 11 a.m. for family and close friends on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, with calling one hour prior to the service at the Gravel Lawn Cemetery Chapel, Fortville.
