Jerry J. “Jake” Hudson, 76, of Fortville, died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, at the Indiana Heart Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born Sept. 18, 1936, in Fortville to the late Jack W. and Carrie (Huston) Hudson.
He is survived by wife, Peggy J. (Willits) (Kendrick) Hudson whom he married on Jan. 22, 2002; daughter, Renee (Don) Edwards of Fortville; stepchildren, Rick (Rosie) Kendrick, and Randy (Lori) Kendrick, all of Fortville; two grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; brother, Ernie (Judy) Hudson of Ft. Collins, Colo.; sisters, Jane Antibus of Bloomfield, and Jabet Arnett of Fortville.
Jake was preceded in death by his first wife, Beverly (Lakin) Hudson in 1994.
Friends called on Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Seals Funeral Home & Cremation Services. A celebration of Jake’s was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at the funeral home. Burial followed at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
