Richard “Dick” Roberts, 86, died on Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, at Community Hospital East. He was born on Oct. 30, 1925, in Indianapolis. He was the son of R. Earl and Margaret (Adkins) Roberts.
Surviving him are his sons, Richard (Debbie) Roberts of Carmel, Bill (Sandy) Abston of Lawrence, Charles Roberts of Clearwater, Fla., and Kenneth Roberts of Clayton; daughters, Nancy (Nick) Brown of Macy, Sandy (Joseph) Smith of Lancaster, Ohio, Patty (Mike) Vandemark of Atlanta, Bonnie Robinson of New Palestine, and Cindy Bright of Fla; 24 grandchildren; and 22, great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Earl and Margaret Roberts; wife, Helen Roberts; brother, Charles Pearson; and sister, Peggy Wagner.
Visitation will be from 3- 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 18, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Funeral services will follow with a Masonic service beginning at 6:30 p.m. Burial will take place at a later date.
