Dr. Glen Cory Todd, 81, formerly of Crawfordsville & Greenfield, passed away on  Sept. 6, 2012, at The Springs at Lake Pointe Woods care facility in Sarasota, Fla. Born on May 10,1931, in Crawfordsville, to Carl S. and Dailie Opal (Cory) Todd.

He graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1949, and from Indiana Central, now Indianapolis University, in 1954, where he met and married Margaret C. Scott on Aug. 29,1954. He continued his education at The University of Pennsylvania where he earned his Veterinary Medicine Doctorate in 1958 and at Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y., where he earned a Doctorate in Pathology in 1965. He belonged to The American College of Veterinary Pathologists (ACVP), The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), and The Academy of Science.

Glen and Margaret raised their four children in Greenfield, where they lived for over 20 years. Glen worked at Eli Lilly and Company for 24 years, and headed their Pathology Department for several years. After retiring from Lilly’s in 1991, Glen and his wife moved to Crawfordsville, where they lived for 18 years. In 2009 they moved to Sarasota, Fla.

Glen is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Margaret, and his four children, Donna Marie (Todd) McGhee, Diane Lynn (Todd) Arel, Ronald Scott Todd, and Richard Ryan Todd; two brothers, Rev. Robert Todd, and John Todd; 9 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Nov. 2, 2012, at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 6001 Black Creek Valley Rd. Crawfordsville, IN. He will be buried at 2 p.m. on Nov. 3, 2012, at the Odd Fellows Cemetery, 805 West Center Street, Madisonville, Ky.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The American Cancer Society, an organization Glen worked with and supported throughout his life.
