Lucille (Polley) Rogers Weaver, 96, of Morristown passed away Monday, September 03, 2012, at Miller's Merry Manor in Rushville. Born Jan. 20, 1916, in Taylor County, Ky., she was the daughter of Frank and Stella (Short) Polley.

She married Jim Bob Rogers in Sept. of 1935, and he preceded her in death in Aug. of 1976.  Later she married Dave Weaver and he also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Weaver was a homemaker and long time resident of Shelby County. She was a member of Morristown Christian Church. Mrs. Weaver enjoyed working word search puzzles.

Survivors include her sons, John O. (Marjorie) Rogers of Greenfield, Charles F. (Ellen) Rogers of Rushville, James M. (Nola) Rogers of Shelbyville, Gary L. (Veronica) Rogers of Morristown and Keith A. (Dee) Rogers of St. Paul; daughters, Shirley J. (J.R.) Cooksey of Noblesville and Brenda L. (Joe) Carver of Sidney, Ohio; sisters, Frances Macy of Morristown, Marie Buckman of Greenfield, and Dorothy Moore of Rushville; 24 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Marcia Ann Rogers; brothers, Thomas Polley, Charles Polley and Perry Polley; and sisters, Lela Raikes, Juanita Nigh and Laura Morgan.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St. in Morristown. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Asbury Cemetery.
