Robert (Bob) Lee Brown, 68, of Greenfield, passed away Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, at the Hospice unit of Hancock Regional Hospital after a battle with cancer. He was born June 21, 1944, in Indianapolis to the late Donald and Francis Brown.

Bob attended Avon High School. He served in the Army National Guard. He retired from Allison Transmission. He then worked for years as a courier for various companies until retirement. When between careers, he would work with his son, Greg, at Tan Easy USA and, later, Noble Roman's Pizza. Bob was an avid Nascar and Colts fan. He was a lover of breakfast and enjoyed it each morning at White Castle. He never met a stranger, was a good friend to many, and a father figure to several.

Bob is survived by his wife of almost 47 years, Judy, to whom he was married on Sept. 3,1965; daughter, Cindy (Mike) Stotts; son, Gregory (Leslie) Brown; grandchildren, Krista and David Vest, and Graham Brown.

He was preceded in death by his parents; older brother, William (Bill) Brown; and twin sister, Betty Lou Herald.

The memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 5,2012, at Park Chapel Christian Church, 1176 E. McKenzie Road, Greenfield. The family will receive guests and celebrate Bob's life at the church immediately following the memorial service.
