Pauline M. Larsen, 82, born on April 25, 1930, passed away on Aug. 11, 2012. She was the daughter of John J. Michael and Winona C. (Huntsman) Michael. Sister to Raymond, Bertha, Louis, Helen, Marguerite, John, and Paul.

She graduated from T.C. Howe High School in 1948. Raised in the Fountain Square area, she enjoyed seeing that area grow and change over the years. Pauline married Walter F. (Walt) Larsen on Nov. 25, 1966, and they relished traveling the country together. Walt and Polly also enjoyed spending time with their extended family at the Fortville American Legion.

She retired from a rewarding career as a railroad clerk, but her true life-calling was caring for those she loved. She was the ultimate mom; loving mother of Kerry (Karen), Lance (Karen), Debra (Dan), Mark (Daphne), Scott (Kathryn), grandmother to nine, and great-grandmother to three and counting.

Pauline dedicated much of her time over the past decade at Hancock Regional Hospital where she was valued by all. She was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, and the National Association of Railway Businesswomen. Donations may be made to any of these organizations in lieu of flowers.

There will be a visitation from 1 to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012 at Seals Funeral Home, 122 W. Staat St., Fortville, IN. A gathering in her memory will be held at 5 p.m. at the Fortville American Legion on Tuesday Aug 14, 2012.
