V. Imogene (Wooldridge) Tracy, 82, of Greenfield, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, August 8, 2012. She was born on Oct. 9, 1929, in Shelbyville. She was the daughter of Joseph Samuel and Laura Gertrude (Cox) Wooldridge. Imogene graduated from Charlottesville High School in 1947. She married Harry Ivan Tracy in Gwynneville, Ind., on June 15, 1947.

Imogene was a homemaker. She was also a volunteer at Hancock Memorial Hospital, a 4-H leader for 57 years, and a member of the Hancock County Home Economics Extension for 50 years. As a member of the Lions Club, she was a recipient of the prestigious Melvin Jones Award.

Surviving her are her husband, Harry Tracy of Greenfield; daughters, Carolyn (Terry) Barksdale of Lawrence, Sandy (Brad) Jenkins of Greenfield, and Laura Jo Tracy of Fortville; six grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; sisters, Mary Wicker, Bertha Harrison, Alice Apple, and Edith Brooks; brother, Roy Wooldridge; and grandson, Brian Jenkins.

Visitation will be from 4 – 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 10, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 11, at the mortuary. Entombment will follow at Asbury Cemetery in Morristown.
