Gerald M Burnett, 79, of Anderson, died on August 2, 2012, at the Community Hospital. He was born on December 11, 1932, in New Castle. He was the son of George and Lulu (Barkdull) Burnett.
Gerald is survived by his loving spouse whom he married June 6, 1952, Phyllis (Myers) Burnett, of Anderson; daughter, Cherie (Greg) Ritz of Pendleton; son, Jay(Kyra) Burnett of Pendleton; brother, Don Burnett of Anderson; and brother, Jim (Sylvia) Burnett of Denver; grandsons, Adam (Tara) Ritz, Dustin Ritz, Travis Burnett, and Tyler Burnett. Also surviving are three step grandchildren, Lauren Glover, Christian Glover, and Olivia Glover; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by father, George Burnett; mother, Lula Burnett; a sister-in-law, Ruby Burnett; and infant son, Timothy Dwayne Burnett.
Visitation will be held 2-8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at Madison Park Church of God; 6607 Providence Drive; Anderson. and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Services will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 9, 2012, at the church with Rev. Jim Lyon officiating. Burial will take place in the Grovelawn Cemetery, Pendelton.
