Dema L. (Michael) Brizendine, 88, of Anderson, passed away on July 20, 2012, at her home. She was born on July 27, 1923, in Missouri, and resided most of her life in Madison and Hancock County, IN.

 Dema graduated from Rocky Comfort High School in Rocky Comfort, Mo. in 1941. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed canning and quilting.

 Survivors include her sons, Michael L. (Lissette) Brizendine, of Orlando, and Patrick Brizendine of Phoenix; sisters, Pauline Nodine of Anderson, Betty Jo Wrobleski , Pierce City, Mo.; grandsons, Jeffrey (Lorilee) Brizendine of Orlando, and Scott (Katia) Brizendine of Tampa; step-grandchildren, Nicolas (Lydia) Colombey of Orlando, and Natacha (David) Edmondson of Orlando; great-granddaughters, Kasey Brizendine and Kara Brizendine, both of Orlando; step-great-grandsons, Cameron Steuernagel of Tampa, and Dante Edmondson of Orlando; and step-great-granddaughter, Eva Edmondson of Orlando. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by husband, Leroy Brizendine; parents, Arnold and Erma Michael; three sisters and two brothers.

 Visitation will be held at 11 – 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd St. Anderson, IN. Services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Chaplain Caroli Wolf officiating. Burial will take place in the Mendon Cemetery, Pendleton.
