Frank W. Henzie, 72, of Greenfield, passed away on July 13, 2012. Born on January 31, 1940, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Frank E. and Lillian M. (Burnett) Henzie.
Frank graduated from Broad Ripple High School in 1958 and graduated from Hanover College in 1962. Mr. Henzie worked as a food chemist for Stokley VanCamp in Indianapolis before retiring in 1983. He was a charter member of the Mount Comfort Optimist Club and was President in 1984 and Secretary/Treasurer for ten years. Frank was a member of the Zion Evangelical United Church of Christ in Indianapolis and of Phi Gamma Delta at Hanover.
Surviving him are his wife, Bernice (Penix) Henzie of Greenfield; son, Rick (Tracey) Henzie of McCordsville; sister, Laurine Heffleman of Indianapolis; and three nieces. Preceding him in death were his parents and step-mother, Elizabeth Jane Henzie of Indianapolis.
Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Funeral services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at the mortuary. Pastor Jonathan Basile will be officiating. Burial will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis.
