Sharon Leigh Dover Yarling, 74, of Fairland, passed away on Monday, July 9, 2012, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Born on June 19, 1938, in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Ruth Coyle Dover Raymond.

Sharon was married to Edwin Yarling on Nov. 10,1956. They were farmers for 56 years in Moral Township and owned and operated the bowling alley in Morristown, Morristown Lanes for 40 years, where she retired in 2004. Sharon is a graduate of Shelbyville High School and a member of the Fairview Methodist Church, Fountaintown, Ind.

She is survived by her husband, Edwin Yarling; children, Danae (Jeff) Sponsel of Shelbyville, Stephanie (Wyatt) Elmore of Fairland, Chris (Sheri) Yarling, and Tim Yarling of Fountaintown; sister, Karen Raymond of Shelbyville; brother, Michael C Dover; and sister-in-law, Evelyn Pence, both of Edinburgh; ten grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; and her favorite dog, Molly.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

There will be a celebration of life service from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2012, at Fairview Methodist Church, Fountaintown, Ind. Service will follow at 3 p.m. on July 14, 2012, with Rev. Johnny Lee Sanders officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Fairview Methodist Church at the Funeral Home.
