Phillip Matthew “Matt” Jones, 32, of McCordsville, passed away on July 5, 2012. Born on April 3, 1980, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Phillip and Tess (Quiroga) Jones.
Matt graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1998 and worked as co-owner of Phil Jones and Son Construction in Greenfield. Matt married Nikki Daunhauer on May 21, 2005, in Huntingburg, Ind. Matt was a member of the Fall Creek Valley and Indiana Gun Clubs and was an avid duck hunter. He loved hunting frequently with his dog, Joey. He also attended Outlook Christian Church in McCordsville.
Surviving him are his wife, Nicole “Nikki” (Daunhauer) Jones; children, Olivia and Charlie Jones all of McCordsville; parents, Phil and Tess Jones of Greenfield; twin sister, Ann Jones; grandmother, Manuela Quiroga both of Indianapolis; mother-in-law, Charlene (Mark) Hicks; father-in-law, Bob (Valerie) Daunhauer both of Huntingburg; sisters-in-law, Jill Daunhauer of Indianapolis, and Bobbie Merkel of Huntingburg; and brother-in-law, Arlo Daunhauer of Nashville, Tenn.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Irma and Charlie Jones and Rey Quiroga.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 8, 2012, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Funeral services will take place on Monday, July 9, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the mortuary. Rob McCord from Outlook Christian Church will be officiating.
